What wonderful news for those of us who have already recognised Cyprus`s investment potential and took action to purchase property. Now a major airline announces it`s intentions of serving Cyprus. This just compounds my last blog.

Monarch have this week announced the introduction of new low cost air fares for economy flights from London to Larnaca for 2007, pushing Cyprus further up the property hotspot list for 2007.
Cyprus is already tipped as being one of the top 3 investment opportunities in Europe for the overseas investor in 2007, and this news will add more fuel to the buying frenzy.
The award winning airline which was recently named as Leisure Airline of the Year, will introduce this service from March 2007, 4 times a week and is expected to sell flights from as little as £69.99. This makes Cyprus even more accessible to us Europeans, and will certainly help increase the returns on any property investment, as the rental opportunities will be even further enhanced due to the increased amount of traffic being able to afford to fly here.
This is fantastic news for the investment community as well as the tourism industry and the 150,000 strong Greek Cypriot community living and working in London. The service will include all of the usual facilities you would expect on a European flight but at a much reduced price.
Investors are cashing in on this opportunity and whilst we are still seeing the property market increase steadily, this makes Cyprus a wise Eastern European investment.

Investment. With the demise of the oil terminal at Larnaca, this area now has been given the lions share of all the money comming from the EU, therefore, an enormous economic driver can be seen. This is something that cannot be seen in any other part of Cyprus. You should NEVER buy without seeing where the economic driver is coming from.
Communication. Larnaca airport. This airport services most of southern Cyprus. It is currently being expanded (and I`ve seen the works being carried out) to take it`s quota of passengers from 2 million a year to 6 million a year. With information like this and the news we have just heard such as Monarch now flying there, this compounds the point in buying in Larnaca.
Infrastructure. Since going into the EU one of the first directives it gave was to improve the road networks. This is/has happened. When I was there in November 06 there was a huge improvement in the road networks around the airport to support the growing traffic. Also these networks are spreading out all over Southern Cyprus.
To give you an example. From the airport to my penthouse in pervolia takes only 10 minutes!
I.C.I...All of the above is the scientific reasoning behind any form of property investment and all of these reasons no other part of Cyprus, other than Larnaca, can boast.
